The Strategy003 class implements a trading strategy by using various technical indicators to generate buy and sell signals. In the populate_indicators method, the strategy calculates and adds the following indicators to the input DataFrame:
Money Flow Index (MFI)
Stochastic Fast %D and %K
Relative Strength Index (RSI)
Fisher Transform of RSI (fisher_rsi)
Bollinger Bands lower band (bb_lowerband)
Exponential Moving Averages (EMA) with time periods of 5, 10, 50, and 100
Stop and Reverse (SAR)
Simple Moving Average (SMA) with a time period of 40
The populate_buy_trend method populates the buy column of the DataFrame based on the conditions:
RSI is below 28 and above 0
Close price is below the SMA
Fisher RSI is below -0.94
MFI is below 16.0
Either the EMA50 is greater than EMA100 or the EMA5 has crossed above the EMA10
Fast %D is greater than fast %K and both are greater than 0
The populate_sell_trend method populates the sell column of the DataFrame based on the conditions:
SAR is greater than the close price
Fisher RSI is above 0.3
These buy and sell signals can be used to determine when to enter and exit trades in a backtesting scenario.
